EVANSVILLE, IN : Driver of stolen vehicle crashes into Ohio Rive on Friday, 6th September 2019

The man who reportedly stole a vehicle from Evansville, hit a car and then led police on a chase before crashing into the Ohio River is still on the loose.

Around 12:40 a.m. Friday, Vanderburgh County Sheriff's deputies received a report of a car being driven through a fence surrounding David Enterprises, 4301 Hogue Road. When deputies arrived, they learned that the vehicle had been stolen from the business.

About 20 minutes later, deputies received a call of a hit and run crash in the campground at Burdette Park. The description given of the suspect vehicle matched the one stolen from David Enterprises.
