Austintown, OH : Campbell man died in crash on I-80 in Austintown on Wednesday, February 4, 2015

A Campbell man died when the semi tractor-trailer he was driving left the road on Interstate 80 East near the Interstate 680 split, hit a road sign and guardrail, then overturned.

The victim was Charles R. Baird Jr., 43. The accident happened at 5:35 p.m. Wednesday.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Baird was driving an International straight truck. The truck was on its side, and the township fire department helped to get the vehicle upright, an OSHP dispatcher said.

The westbound lane of I-80 near the I-680 split was closed for several hours.
