The Connecticut State Police announced Thursday at a state trooper was killed in the line of duty in a collision on Interstate 84 in the town of Tolland, Connecticut.
The trooper was identified as Trooper First Class Kevin Miller, a 19-year veteran of the Connecticut State Police.
Miller was assigned to Troop C in Tolland, having previously served at the Colchester and Montville barracks.
"We are grateful for his dedicated service to the Connecticut State Police and the residents of Connecticut, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time," the Connecticut State Police said in a statement to the media.
