Colorado Mesa University’s Grand Junction campus was placed on lockdown tonight after a car crashed on campus.

The car’s driver refused to stop for law enforcement and ran a red light in central Grand Junction at about 8:40 p.m., according to police scanner traffic. The driver then proceeded to drive through campus and eventually crashed. At least three people fled from the vehicle.

CMU was temporarily placed on lockdown after the crash. All suspects have been apprehended, according to the university’s Twitter feed. A previous tweet from the university warned students the suspects may be armed.
