Anderson,SC : Coroner identifies man killed in head-on crash on June, Monday 5th 2017

A Georgia man died Monday night in a head-on collision, Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore said.

Freeman died of blunt-force trauma, Shore said.

The head-on crash was reported just before 9 p.m. in the southbound lane of I-85 near
mile-marker 9, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Freeman was traveling north in the southbound lanes when his car collided with a pickup truck, Shore said.

He said the driver of the truck and a passenger were not injured.
