Meridian, MS : Forklift accident kills Clearspan employee on Tuesday, 17th April 2018

An employee died Tuesday following an accident involving a forklift at Clearspan Components, Inc.

The company, located at 6110 Old Highway 80 West, manufactures pre-engineered building components for wood structures for construction companies, according to Bloomberg news.

Lauderdale County Coroner Clayton Cobler said the accident likely happened just after noon and the man was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead at 1:15 p.m.

The name of the man has not been released.
