Carrollton, AR : 2 men killed in separate crashes on Arkansas highways on Monday, July 18, 2016
Arkansas State Police say two men have been killed in separate auto crashes on state highways.
Police say 61-year-old James Street of Peel and 24-year-old Demarcus Levar Cones of Fordyce died in the accidents Monday.
A police report says Street died when the vehicle he was driving on Highway 421 in Carrollton went off the highway and crashed into a tree.
A second report says Cones was killed when car he was driving crossed the centerline of Highway 35 in Cleveland County and collided with an oncoming pickup truck.
The driver of the truck was hospitalized in undisclosed condition.
The reports say the weather was clear and the roads were dry at the time of both accidents.
