YORK COUNTY, SC : 3 dead, including 2 children, in fatal crash near York County on Tuesday, 16th March 2021
Three people were killed, including two children, Tuesday in a crash on one of York County’s busiest roads, officials said.
York County Coroner Sabrina Gast identified the three victims Wednesday morning as 29-year-old Cole Labrozzi, who was reportedly driving the car, and two passengers in the car, 8-year-old Kaydence Timmons and 7-year-old Justin Whitener. Gast confirmed the children were siblings.
The two-vehicle wreck happened around 4:30 p.m. on S.C. 5 near Park Place Road, just east of the York County Sheriff’s Office, according to Master Trooper Gary Miller of the S.C. Highway Patrol.
A 2000 Jaguar driven by an adult with two juvenile passengers crossed the center line of the highway and was struck by a car heading in the other direction, Miller said. The three people in the Jaguar died at the scene, Miller said.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 54-year-old woman from Chester, was injured and taken to a hospital with injuries, Miller said.
