Destin, FL : Motorcyclist crashes near Henderson Beach Boulevard on Wednesday, February 1, 2017

A motorcyclist was injured about noon Wednesday in a crash on Emerald Coast Parkway near Henderson Beach Boulevard, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff's deputies who responded to the accident said the motorcyclist was conscious and alert when taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.

A sport utility vehicle also was at the scene as deputies investigated.

The westbound lanes were shut down for 12 to 15 minutes.
