WOODRUFF, SC : 21-year-old dies after head-on crash on Friday, October 6, 2017
A 21-year-old is dead after a head-on crash happened Friday afternoon in Woodruff, according to Spartanburg County Coroner Randy Bogan.
Anna Vasilyevna Ovdiychuk, of Chesness was pronounced dead on the scene, Bogan said.The crash happened at 4:30 p.m. at the intersection on S.J. Workman Highway and East Georgia Road in Woodruff, Bogan said.
Ovdiychuk was driving east on East Georgia Road with two passengers in the car, Gary Miller with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said.
Ovidychuk disregarded a stop sign and hit the driver of a 1996 Ford F-150, who was travelling west on S.J. Workman Highway, head-on, Miller said.
The driver of the truck was seat belted, injured and was taken to the hospital, Miller said.
