NAVARRE, FL : 7-year-old seriously injured in Navarre crash at the intersection of U.S. Highway 98 and Sunrise Drive on Monday, 25th November, 2019
A 7-year-old Gulf Breeze boy sustained serious injuries after a car accident Monday morning at the intersection of U.S. Highway 98 and Sunrise Drive.
He was a passenger in a 2002 Chevy Camaro that was struck by a 2011 Dodge Charger.
Amanda B. Burrell, 50, of Navarre was driving the Charger when she attempted to make a U-turn in the left lane onto Sunrise Drive, according to a press release from the Florida Highway Patrol.
She was charged with failing to yield at an intersection, according to the release.
As she was attempting the U-turn, the Camaro hit the left side of her vehicle.
The driver of the Camaro, Ashley Rose Hoffman, 35, of Gulf Breeze sustained minor injuries.
Hoffman and the child were taken to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.
