A woman was arrested Tuesday in connection with a deadly hit-and-run crash.Florida Highway Patrol troopers said 24-year-old Shane Joseph lied to detectives after the crash on North Pine Hills Road earlier this month.

Investigators said she was the passenger in an SUV driven by 23-year-old Brye Jenkins.

He allegedly ran a red light, slammed into another vehicle and took off.

Troopers said 53-year-old Veronica Williams and 78-year-old Bessie Anderson were killed in the crash.

"We rushed down there to see if we could help, but we didn't see her chest moving at all," said witness David Studley.

Anderson's daughter, Barbara Rosetta, said she can't believe her mom was killed.
