LEXINGTON, NE : 11-year-old Gothenburg boy is hospitalized in Tuesday on Friday, 3rd April 2018

An 11-year-old Gothenburg boy is hospitalized in Omaha following a go-kart accident.

Dawson County Sheriff Gary Reiber said the accident was reported at about 4:19 p.m. on Tuesday. A go-kart was being driven by the boy on a canal bank next to Wild Horse Golf Course, north of Gothenburg, when it slid and rolled over into the bottom of the dry canal.

The boy was taken by ambulance to Gothenburg Health and later flown to Omaha.

Reiber said the incident is still under investigation.
