HAMPDEN, ME : A 63-year-old Hancock man died in a crash on I-95 in Hampden on Saturday, 17th June 2023

63-year-old Thomas Merchant of Hancock died after crashing his car near mile marker 176 on the southbound side of I-95 in Hampden Saturday afternoon.

According to a release from the Maine Department of Public Safety, Merchant crashed into median guard rails and his car continued to travel another 300 feet before stopping.
