MADISON, MO : Columbia man injured in crash north of Madison on Monday, February 6th 2017

A Columbia man was injured in a Monday night crash north of Madison.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a 2014 International driven by Steven D. Deornellis, 46, of Columbia, was northbound on Mo. 151, four miles north of Madison, at 6;25 p.m. The patrol said the driver failed to negotiate a curve and the vehicle traveled off the left side of the road, then the vehicle struck an embankment and overturned.

Deornellis, who was not wearing a seat belt, was transported by Monroe County Ambulance to University of Missouri Hospital with moderate injuries.

The patrol was assisted by the Monroe County Sheriff's Department and Monroe County Ambulance.
