Weld County, CO : School bus crash in Weld County causes multiple injuries on Thursday, 12th July 2018

A bus carrying 35 high school students returning from a trip to Elitch Gardens crashed in Weld County on Thursday afternoon and injured several people, according to Greeley-Evans School District 6 spokesman Casey Pearson.

The crash happened northeast of Hudson near the intersection of County Roads 49 and 24.

A truck was southbound and it drifted into the northbound lane, hitting the bus and causing it to roll 1¼ times, according to the Colorado State Patrol. The bus came to a stop on its side.

The driver of a flatbed truck fell asleep at the wheel, the State Patrol said.
