NORTH BELLPORT, NY : Driver arrested in fatal crash on Thursday, June 22, 2017

Police on Long Island say two men riding a suspected stolen dirt bike were killed when they collided with a pursuing minivan driven by the brother of the bike’s owner.

Suffolk County police say the driver, Christopher Bouchard, was arrested on charges of reckless endangerment.

He’s to be arraigned on Friday. Information on his lawyer wasn’t immediately available.

Police say Bouchard had spotted the two men riding his brother’s dirt bike, which had been reported stolen.

He and his brother pursued the bike in the minivan before the two vehicles collided on Montauk Highway in North Bellport just after 10 a.m. Thursday.

The operator of the dirt bike, Keenen King, of Shirley, was pronounced dead at the scene. The bike’s passenger, 20-year-old Anthony Holmes-Garriques, of North Bellport, died at the hospital.
