MENDOTA, CA : At least 1 killed after vehicle crashes into canal in Mendota on Sunday, 15th August 2021

Authorities are at the scene after a vehicle crashed into a canal in Mendota.

The crash happened on Highway 180 near Belmont Avenue just before 6 am on Sunday.

That's when a vehicle fell into the water and started to sink.

Search and rescue teams went into the canal to check if anyone was in the water.
