Lizana, MS : Car crashes into Dollar General store in Lizana on Monday night, March 28, 2016

A car slammed into a Dollar General store in Lizana on Monday night.

A viewer sent several photographs to WLOX, showing the aftermath of the crash at the store on Highway 53.

Witnesses said it appears the driver hit the gas instead of the brakes.

The crash left a gaping hole in the building, and there was extensive front-end damage to the vehicle.

No word on any injuries or whether the driver will face charges.
