Decatur , GA :DeKalb County police officer hospitalized after crash, details on injuries unclear on Thursday , June 25th 2015

DeKalb County police say an officer has been hospitalized after a crash in Decatur.Sgt. Steve Fore said in an email that details on what caused the accident Thursday afternoon weren't immediately available.Footage from local television stations showed the mangled patrol cruiser pinned between the back of a heavily damaged SUV and a telephone pole.Fore says the officer who was involved in the crash has been pulled from the wrecked cruiser and is being taken to a local hospital. It's unclear how severely the officer was injured.
