Hudson, N.H : Woman charged with DWI after crash on Saturday night, November 8, 2014
A Hudson woman is in custody after police officers say she drove drunk and crashed her car into a utility shed Saturday night.
Carole Maroun, 47, was driving on Shadowbrook Road just before 8 p.m. when she ran off the road and hit a Fairpoint Communications utility shed, according to the Hudson Police Department.
Police officers say when they responded to the scene near the Shepherd’s Hill Condominium Complex, Maroun pushed an officer several times. The officer was not injured.
The crash seriously damaged the utility shed. Fairpoint Communications advise that this may disrupt internet and telephone connection in the area.
Maroun had no other passengers in her 2006 Mercedes E-Class, and suffered no injuries in the accident.
Hudson police have charged Maroun with Driving While Intoxicated, Driving With a Suspended License, and two counts of Assaulting a Police Officer.
Maroun is being held at the Hillsborough County House of Correction in Manchester until her arraignment on Monday. No bail was set.
