Danville, AL : Two Hartselle teens died in a two-vehicle crash on Alabama State Route 36, west of Danville on Saturday evening, April 23, 2016

Two Hartselle teens have died in a two-vehicle crash.

Senior Trooper Johnathan Appling tells media outlets that 15-year-old Brianna Lashay Lewis and 15-year-old Breanna Caitlin Jackson died Saturday evening when a motorized go-kart they were riding in collided with an Acura RSX. The crash occurred on Alabama State Route 36 about 1 mile west of Danville.

The driver of the Acura was uninjured.

Appling says Lewis was driving the go-kart and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Jackson, who was a passenger in the go-kart, was flown to a Huntsville hospital where she died.
State troopers are investigating the crash.
