ALEXANDRIA, VA : 98-year-old man injured in Hanson County crash on Highway 42 on Wednesday, 19th September 2018

A 98-year-old man sustained minor injuries Wednesday afternoon after he fell asleep at the wheel.

The man, from Hartford, was driving east on Highway 42 at 3:35 p.m. when his vehicle entered a ditch between 423rd and 424th avenues. The vehicle then hit and went over a driveway approach and came to a stop, authorities said.
