Rotterdam, NY : Two people injured in a one-vehicle rollover crash Interstate 90 on Wednesday August 12th 2015
New York State Police say two people have been injured in a one-vehicle rollover accident on the Thruway outside Albany.
Troopers say a Ford Explorer was traveling in Interstate 90's westbound lanes when it crashed around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday at Exit 26 in the Schenectady County town of Rotterdam, about 15 miles northwest of Albany.
The sport utility vehicle rolled several times before coming to a rest on the guide rail between the eastbound and westbound lanes.
Troopers say the 68-year-old driver suffered head trauma and a 65-year-old woman riding in the SUV suffered serious hand and leg injuries. The Waterford residents were taken to Albany Medical Center.
The highway's left lane has reopened after being closed for more than an hour.
