A woman is dead and a man injured after a car crash in Scottsdale.
Scottsdale police say 87-year-old Susan Semmons-Rector died of her injuries at a hospital early Wednesday.
She was a passenger in car that collided with an SUV on Tuesday night.
The driver of the vehicle was an elderly man who also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Police say the man was friends with Semmons-Rector, but they are not related.
The driver of the SUV was treated and released at the scene.
Police say neither speed nor alcohol appear to be factors in the crash, which closed the intersection of Scottsdale Road and Osborn Road for about five hours.
