Columbus, OH : Woman killed in two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon on August 11th 2015
Columbus police have identified the woman killed following a two-vehicle crash in the city's east side that sent a car flying into a bus stop where she was sitting.
Police say 54-year-old Joan Miller was pronounced dead Tuesday afternoon at the East Broad Street scene. She was a Columbus resident but had no regular address.
Police say a sport-utility vehicle and another car attempted to pull over shortly after 3:30 p.m. to make way for a firetruck heading to an accident just to the east. The SUV and car collided, with the impact hurtling the car over the curb and into the bus stop where it collapsed on Miller.
Neither driver was injured.
