Hartford, WI : Impaired woman crashes school bus with 25 kids on board on May 29th 2014

A school bus crashed into a parked car Thursday morning in Hartford.

It happened at about 7:45 a.m. in the 600 block of Cedar Street.

Hartford police said 25 children were on the bus, but no one was seriously hurt.

Hartford police evaluated the bus driver -- a 68-year-old Hartford woman -- and determined she was impaired by a substance other than alcohol.

The woman was arrested, accused of operating while intoxicated with passengers under the age of 16. The school superintendent told WISN 12 News reporter Colleen Henry the driver has been at the hospital all day with a medical condition.

No one was in the parked car.
