Kansas City, MO : One person died and one injured after a wrong-way crash on I-29 NB near 64th Street on Wednesday, March 2, 2016

One person has died and one is in serious condition after a wrong-way crash on I-29 NB near 64th Street.

Kansas City police said a driver was going the wrong way on the northbound lanes of I-29 near 64th Street. The driver swiped one car and then hit another head on. Police said the driver of the vehicle that was driving the wrong way died.

The woman in the vehicle that was hit is in the hospital in serious condition.

Kansas City police said a few other vehicles were involved in fender benders, and no one was hurt.

The I-29 northbound lanes reopened just after 6:30 a.m. Thursday.
