Boy who died after Marana car crash Marana Arizona
An 8-year-old boy injured when his family's car collided with a tractor-trailer in Marana has died, according to the Marana Police Department. The Pima County Medical Examiner's Office identified the boy as Jesus Gallo.Gallo and his family were en route to the Marana pumpkin patch when the crash happened in front of the venue on West Kirby Hughes and North Wentz roads around 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Gallo died Sunday at University of Arizona Medical Center.The Gallo's father was driving the family's Toyota Yaris and the boy was seated directly behind him. The car was struck on the driver's side and the father was critically injured. A 14-year-old girl seated in the back seat had serious injuries and a 10-year-old boy had minor injuries. The children's mother was sitting in the front seat and was uninjured. The cause of the collision is still under investigation, Marana police said in a news release.
