OKMULGEE COUNTY, OK : Alcohol blamed after deadly crash in Okmulgee County on Saturday, 23rd December 2023

Troopers said alcohol likely played a factor in a deadly crash in Okmulgee County.

Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash just after midnight Saturday on U.S. 75 near Schulter.

Troopers said a pickup truck driven by Michael Owen, 46, of Okmulgee, was weaving and struck another vehicle in the rear.

Owen’s truck left the road, rolled at least three times and ejected Owen 30 feet from his vehicle, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Owen died at the scene of the crash, trooper said. The driver of the second truck was not hurt.
