Richmond,VI : Richmond man, 58, is killed in Interstate 95 crash in Henrico on January, Tuesday 16th 2018

A Richmond man died after a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 in Henrico County, state police reported late Tuesday.

About 8:45 a.m., officers responded to the crash scene on northbound Interstate 95, about two-tenths of a mile north of Exit 82 (Chamberlayne Avenue).

According to the preliminary investigation, a 2018 Toyota Avalon driven by Jeffery Neal Shipp, 58, of Richmond was traveling north on I-95 when the vehicle ran off the road to the right, spun and overturned into the woods.

Shipp, who was the vehicle’s only occupant, was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
