Sacramento, CA : Motorcyclist killed in La Mesa freeway crash on Tuesday, November, 28th 2017

36-year-old man died of injuries he suffered when his motorcycle crashed into a car on state Route 125 in La Mesa Monday night, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

The San Diego man’s 2017 Suzuki GSX-R750 motorcycle collided with a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta near Spring Street about 11:10 p.m. Both motorists were traveling south in parallel freeway lanes, CHP Officer Travis Garrow said.

The impact of the crash threw the motorcyclist onto the freeway. He was taken to a hospital, where he died hours later, Garrow said in a statement. The rider’s name was not released.

Witnesses were asked to call the CHP at (619) 401-2000.
