44-year-old man dies in crash near Cherry Valley Ohio
A fatal one-vehicle crash early Sunday morning is under investigation.The Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the crash on U.S. Route 6 east of Hayes Road at approximately 1:16 a.m.Dana E. Trumble, 44, was not wearing a safety belt at the time of the crash. He was driving a 1997 Nissan Altima. Trumble was residing in Andover, but was originally of Willis, Texas.
Preliminary investigation shows Trumble was driving westbound on U.S. 6, drove off the right side of the roadway, and ramped over a set of railroad tracks. The vehicle entered the ditch-line and struck a drainage culvert which rolled the vehicle and ejected Trumble. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Andover Fire and South Central Ambulance District responded to the scene. It is unknown if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
