Billings, MT : A three-vehicle collision on Saturday, July 29, 2017
A three-vehicle collision Saturday afternoon in downtown Billings sent three people to the hospital.
Billings police and emergency responders were called to the collision at the intersection of North 27th Street and Sixth Avenue North at 5:05 p.m., said Sgt. Clyde Reid of the Billings Police Department.
The crash involved a light-blue Ford Taurus headed westbound on Sixth Avenue North, a silver and gray Ford Bronco pointed north on North 27th Street, both with local plates, and a black pickup southbound on North 27th.
Witnesses told police that it appeared the Taurus drove through a red light, colliding with the Bronco and spinning both vehicles around. The Taurus then hit the front of the black pickup before coming to a stop.
The male driver and the female passenger of the Taurus and the male driver of the Bronco were taken by ambulance to a Billings hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries, Reid said. The female driver of the pickup was not injured.
A citation will be issued after the investigation is complete, he said.
