LOUISVILLE, KY : Motorcyclist killed in crash on South Hurstbourne Parkway on Friday, October, 6th 2017

Louisville Metro police are investigating a crash involving a vehicle and motorcycle.

It was reported in the 4500 block of South Hurstbourne Parkway Friday.

According to a witness, the driver of a motorcycle was driving on Hurstbourne Parkway at a high rate of speed when a car turned in front of the motorcyclist causing the two to collide.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials said the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

No information was released on the cause the crash.

Authorities said they don't suspect any impairment was involved.

The crash remains under investigation.
