St. Albans, VT : Motorist killed in a car crash in northern Vermont on Saturday, November 5, 2016

Vermont police say a motorist has been killed in a car crash in northern Vermont.

Police say a car went off the road and hit a tree near the intersection of Route 36 and the Lapan Road in the town of St. Albans. The motorist was pronounced dead at the scene on Saturday.

WCAX-TV reports that the driver’s identity has not been released.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. St. Albans police said more information about the crash would be released Sunday afternoon.
