South Amboy,NJ : A fatal wrong-way crash on a New Jersey highway on April, tuesday 25th 2017

Investigators have reversed their finding over who caused a fatal wrong-way crash on a New Jersey highway earlier this month.

Both drivers were killed in the April 16 crash that occurred in the northbound lanes of Route 9 in South Amboy. Three passengers in one of the minivans were seriously injured.

Authorities said that day that a preliminary investigation had found 51-year-old Percell Livingston Jr., of East Orange, was driving the wrong way.

But Middlesex County prosecutors said Tuesday that evidence gathered during the subsequent investigation, including witness statements and video, led to the finding that the other driver, 31-year-old Miguel Mendoza-Chong of Perth Amboy, was at fault.

Authorities declined further comment, citing the ongoing investigation.
