MEMPHIS, TN : Car crash causes fire on Highway 51 in north Shelby County on Thursday, 14th September 2023

Highway 51 in north Shelby County has reopened after a car crash caused a fire.

Millington Police said they were on the scene with Millington Fire and Shelby County Fire about 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, 2023. It happened along Highway 51 northbound at Sullivan Rd.

The Shelby County Sheriff's office said a vehicle overturned and hit a utility pole about 2 p.m. One person was taken to Regional One Hospital in non-critical condition, according to the SCSO.
