CHESAPEAKE, VA : Fatal Chesapeake crash on Saturday, 18th May 2024

One person is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Chesapeake Saturday.

The crash happened just before 3 p.m. at the Route 58 and I-664 interchange, according to a Virginia State Police spokeswoman.

The driver was traveling east on Route 58 towards I-664 North and ran off the ramp into trees.

The driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene, police said.
