GWINNETT COUNTY, GA : Prisoner transport bus involved in crash on June, Friday 30th 2017

A prisoner transport bus was involved in a crash with multiple vehicles, Friday afternoon.

The incident occurred on I-85 SB near Buford Drive exit in Gwinnett County.

According to officials, Transcor Prison Bus was transporting 31 ICE detainees from York, South Carolina to a facility in Stewart, Georgia.

Crews with ICE are expected to pick up the detainees and take them to Atlanta. They will be picked up again by TransCor and taken to their final destination at the Stewart Detention Center in Lumpkin, Georgia.
