Laredo,TX : Man critically injured in vehicle crash on Monday, March 6th 2017

A man was airlifted to San Antonio in critical condition after crashing into a traffic light pole during a vehicle pursuit with police early Monday in central Laredo, authorities said.
Laredo police identified him as Jim Andrew Molina, 19.
Molina was treated for several internal injuries and head trauma at Laredo Medical Center. He was later taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center for further treatment.
Authorities said they found at least eight Xanax bars inside the 2010 Nissan Altima driven by Molina.
At 2:23 a.m., Molina was fleeing from an LPD officer who had attempted to pull him over in the 3400 block of San Dario Avenue, according to an LPD report.
Molina allegedly failed to control his speed, jumped over a curb and crashed into a traffic light pole at the intersection of San Dario and Lafayette Street.
