A two-vehicle crash Sunday night that police said was alcohol or drug-related sent three people to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and prompted a criminal investigation.
Shortly after 11 p.m. Cape Coral police were called to the 2400 block of NE Pine Island Road for a serious injury crash involving two vehicles.
Police said that their ongoing criminal investigation found that the crash was alcohol and/or drug related.
A police report said the first vehicle, a maroon 2013 Kia driven by Michael Getts, 35, of North Fort Myers, was traveling east on NE Pine Island Road in the outside lane.
