Fairfield Township , OH : Butler County deputy bofficer was injured by drunken Driver at Millkin Road Intersection on Saturday morning , December 13th 2014
Butler County Sheriff's office says the man who struck a Butler County deputy early Saturday morning was intoxicated.
According to officials, Deputy Art Brickles was traveling on state route 4 at the Millikin Road intersection when Oscar Mendoza ran a red light hitting the deputy.
Mendoza and Brickles were transported to the hospital and were treated for minor injuries.
The cruiser sustained serious damage.
“This guy was almost three times the legal limit when he went through the red light causing the crash, had no valid identification, and did not speak English.” Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones said. “I'm just glad Deputy Brickles will be fine.”
Mendoza is charged with driving while intoxicated and several traffic violations.
