Saint Paul, MN : Two people are dead after a crash on May, Saturday, 13th 2017

Two people are dead after a crash on the Iron Range, Saturday, that involved alcohol.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, 26-year-old, Jason Michael Gates of Superior and 7-year-old, Snowden Elizabeth Bothwell died in the crash.

Authorities say Gates, who was driving one of the cars, had been drinking alcohol.

The state patrol says the crash happened at the intersection of County Road 25 and Highway 169 in Great Scott Township .

A 15-year-old suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to Essentia Health in Duluth.

Four others suffered non-life threatening injuries.
