Billings, MT : Ashland man killed in head-on crash east of Crow Agency on Thursday, March 31, 2016

A head-on collision on the Crow Reservation on Thursday left one person dead.

At 4:30 p.m., the Montana Highway Patrol received a report of a crash on Highway 212, east of Crow Agency. According to Trooper Joshua French, a westbound car went to pass a semi-truck on the two-lane highway.

The vehicle crashed head-on into an eastbound vehicle. The driver of the passing car was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver of the other vehicle was airlifted to Billings for medical attention. Both drivers were males, and there were no other occupants, French said.

Traffic was stopped or slowed on the roadway for hours. The area was cleared before 10 p.m.
