Odessa, TX : Motorcyclist critically injured in wreck on University Boulevard on Monday, July 25, 2016

A motorcyclist suffered critical injuries in a one-vehicle wreck Monday afternoon in the 2900 block of East University Boulevard.
The Odessa Police Department reported 40-year-old Jesse Garcia was driving a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle east on University Boulevard, when he started braking as he approached a stopped vehicle and lost control of the motorcycle. The crash happened at about 2:13 p.m.Monday.

Garcia, who police reported was not wearing a helmet, was taken by ambulance to Medical Center Hospital. Officers continued to investigate the wreck on Monday evening.
