Montville Township, NJ : Rock Creek man killed in a crash on state Route 86 at Leggett Road in Montville Township on Tuesday, 28th August 2018
The Chardon Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed a Rock Creek man Aug. 28.
The crash occurred at 7:21 p.m. on state Route 86 at Leggett Road in Montville Township.
According to the OHP, a 27-year-old Wickliffe man driving a 2008 Dodge Caravan failed to yield at a stop sign and struck a 2007 Pontiac G6 driven by 48-year-old Michael Morgan of Rock Creek. The crash forced the Pontiac to travel off the right side of the road into a field.
Morgan sustained fatal injuries in the crash. He was not wearing a seat belt.The driver of the Dodge did not sustain injuries and was wearing a seat belt. His 24-year-old passenger however, was transported from the scene to a University Hospitals facility with life-threatening injuries. She was not wearing a seat belt, according to the patrol.
The Geauga County Sheriff’s Office and Montville Fire Department assisted at the scene.
