Columbia, FL : Jonathan Ross Sizemore, 41, died in a three-car accident on Interstate 10 in Columbia County on Friday, Nov 20, 2015

An Orange Park man died Friday in a three-car accident on Interstate 10 in Columbia County, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.

Jonathan Ross Sizemore, 41, died in the crash, FHP said in a press release. Three passengers in his pickup truck had minor injuries.

The accident occurred at 2:56 p.m. on I-10 west of Interstate 75 as Sizemore was driving a 2008 Ford F-350 westbound in the outside passing lane.

Jacob Keith Norris, 22, of Houston, Texas, was driving a 2011 Ford Mustang westbound in the inside lane, FHP reported. Roy Dean Cannon, 76, of Lakeland, driving a 2016 Subaru Legacy, was merging into the outside lane from a rest area.

The report states that as Sizemore attempted to change into the inside lane to allow Cannon to merge, his pickup hit Norris’ car. Sizemore was unable to maintain control, drove onto the center median and overturned. Sizemore was taken to Shands at Lake Shore Hospital and declared dead. Passengers Suzanna Renee Sizemore, 43, Jonathan Sizemore, 15, and Jared Sizemore, 13, were also taken to that hospital with minor injuries.
