JACKSON COUNTY, MS : Sheriff identifies Ocean Springs teen killed in wreck Thursday, September 29th 2016

An Ocean Springs teen died in an overnight accident on Belle Fontaine Road, just south of the high school. It happened around 12:30am.

Graham Kyle Lance was one of two passengers in a Mustang that investigators say was speeding down the road before flipping over and hitting a tree. The 18-year-old graduate of Ocean Springs High School died a short time after the late night wreck.

Lance and another passenger, Calvin Butler, 22, of Pascagoula, were thrown from the car.

The driver, Seth Lee McGee, 18, of Ocean Springs, was able to climb out of the wreckage. He and Butler were taken to Ocean Springs Hospital, but their conditions are unknown at this time.

"From here, they'll begin their investigation as to what were the determining causes of the accident," Captain Curtis Spiers said. "Obviously, speed was a definite factor, but as far as alcohol or other items, we'll just have to wait and see where we go in the investigation."

That process could take several days.

The section of Belle Fontaine Road where the accident happened was closed for about two hours while the wreckage was cleared.
