Beckley,WV : Scarbro woman dies in accident near Lewisburg; two others injured on April, Tuesday 3rd 2018

A Scarbro woman died Tuesday as the result of a traffic accident near Lewisburg, Greenbrier County Sheriff Bruce Sloan reported.

The accident took place on Interstate 64 at mile marker 171, Sloan said, and the driver and front seat passenger of the pickup truck had to be extricated from the vehicle.

Sloan reported the investigation revealed a Ford pickup truck was westbound on I-64 when it drove underneath the rear of a westbound tractor trailer.

He said the driver of the pickup, identified as Rose Ann Hayden, 56, was dead at the scene.

The front seat passenger was flown to Roanoke Memorial Hospital and the rear seat passenger was transported to Greenbrier Valley Medical Center. The driver of the tractor trailer was uninjured.

Sloan said the ongoing investigation is being conducted by Sgt. G.R. Workman of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office.
